Spring 2023 registration is quickly approaching.

These are the registration priority dates for the current registration term: Spring 2023

November 1, 2022: Graduate Students
November 3, 2022: Seniors (90+ hours earned)
November 7, 2022: Juniors (60-89 hours earned)
November 9, 2022: Sophomores and All Non-Degree ADVANCE Students (30-59 hours earned)
November 11 2022: Freshmen (0-29 hours earned)
January 4, 2022: Non-Degree Undergraduate Students

During the registration periods, the School of Business advising team will offer peak advising times which will require adjustments to our advising services in order to accommodate as many students as possible. Click here to join virtual drop ins and/or schedule an advising appointments.

Peak Advising Hours will be as follows:

Peak Advising will be held from Monday, October 31 through Friday, November 11.

Mondays and Tuesdays
9:30-11:30 am and 1:00-4:00 pm virtual and in-office drop ins
12:00-3:00 pm and 4:00-7:30 pm virtual appointments

Wednesdays
No advising
*We will offer drop in advising on Wednesday November 9 to accommodate Sophomore registration

Thursdays and Fridays
9:30-11:30 am and 1:00-4:00 pm virtual and in-office drop ins
9:30-11:30 am and 1:00-4:00 pm virtual appointment

Are you an Accounting Major? Thinking of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), but unsure of what you need to do and how to do it? Then this session is for YOU! On Wednesday, September 28th, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. the Accounting Department and Office of Student Success and Academic Services here in the School of Business will be hosting a CPA, MSA, and Certification Information Session. This will be a hybrid event hosted through Zoom and in person at the Johnson Center in room G. We will have faculty members and representatives present to discuss the eligibility requirements for becoming a CPA, as well as a pathway to eligibility you may not have given much thought to before. Please be advised the Office of Student Success and Academic Services will be open for advising this Summer, with adjusted Friday afternoon hours. Our office will close at 1:00 p.m. most Fridays this Summer. This schedule will run from June 6th through August 12th. Please be sure to call or email before coming in for advising due to ongoing New Student Orientations and changing schedules.

Schedule an Advising Appointment

You can schedule an appointment with your advisor via GMU Navigate. This service is only available to current Mason students. Appointments are available:

Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

To schedule an advising meeting:

Access GMU Navigate. Enter your Mason NetID and password and select “login.” Submit and confirm your password sharing preference before clicking “accept.”
Select the “Get Assistance” button in the top right corner and follow the steps to schedule your appointment.

Virtual Drop-In Advising

No appointment is needed for virtual drop-in advising sessions. Available drop-in hours are:

Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Prepare for your advising session:

Virtual drop-in advising sessions are conducted through Blackboard and should be between the you and an advisor. Because you will need to access your Degree Works system and may need to share screens during your appointment, we highly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer. We also recommend using headphones if you are not able to attend the meeting from a private place. Due to safety and privacy, meetings will be ended if you attempt to connect:

While you are in class, actively working, or in another meeting
While you are driving or traveling
If you are in a public space or otherwise preoccupied.

The GMU Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month Committee celebrates its 44th anniversary.

We honor the accomplishments of Asian Americans and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders and the way they have enriched our university with their diverse cultures.

The schedule of events is as follows:

Sunday, May 1^st at 4:00 pm for the Asian Cultural Exhibition in the Lobby of Center for the Arts.

Sunday, May 1^st at 5:00 pm for the Cultural Performances in the Concert Hall of Center for the Arts.

It will be a wonderful experience. We are proud of our Diversity, Inclusion, and Multi-Cultural experience.

Proof of COVID vaccination and masks will be required to attend.
