Congratulations to Michael S. Bloom, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Global and Community Health, for being elected as a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology (FACE). The American College of Epidemiology (ACE) is the professional organization dedicated to continued education and advocacy for epidemiologists in their efforts to promote public health. Bloom鈥檚 research focuses on the effects of endocrine disrupting compounds on human reproduction and fetal development, and on the disproportionate impacts of these agents among vulnerable populations. His research has been supported by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the National Institute on Aging. In addition to being an ACE Fellow, he is a member of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology, the Society for Epidemiologic Research and the Society for Pediatric and Perinatal Epidemiologic Research.

鈥淏eing elected as a fellow to the American Council of Epidemiology is a significant accomplishment for Michael and is a testament to the impact of his research on his field and in addressing health disparities. The College is very proud of this achievement,鈥 said Carolyn Drews-Botsch, department chair.
