罢丑别听聽is dedicated to聽giving聽diverse聽and underrepresented聽students聽at the聽聽the tools they need to succeed.聽Guest speakers, Mason staff, and students gathered聽Friday, October 29聽for CEDRIC鈥檚 official聽virtual聽launch.聽聽
Mason鈥檚 newly appointed聽Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and聽Chief Diversity Officer聽, also an engineer,聽shared with the audience that if it wasn鈥檛 for a similar organization like CEDRIC which had helped her, she may not be where she is today.聽
She聽encouraged聽students to聽explore all the聽opportunities聽and聽mentoring聽CEDRIC offers.聽
鈥淭he journey to your profession of choice is not going to be easy,鈥 she says. 鈥淏ut CEDRIC will help you build a foundation to make that journey a little easier聽and聽more innovative, rewarding, and successful.鈥澛
According to Kenneth Ball, dean of the College of Engineering and Computing, CEDRIC is committed to supporting students so everyone can be successful as they navigate through their College of Engineering and Computing聽degrees at Mason.聽

CEDRIC is a one stop shop for students from underrepresented backgrounds, says聽Christopher A.聽Carr,聽chief diversity officer in the College of Engineering and Computing. Students can find not聽just a home, but resources, connections, friendship, collaboration, and guidance聽both during their time at CEC and beyond.聽
聽It is an聽initiative of the Office of Diversity, Outreach, and Inclusive Learning聽within the College of Engineering and Computing.聽
