Mozart’s beloved four-act comic opera, The Marriage of Figaro, is the kind of mad and frantic bedroom farce of which guilty (and not-so-guilty) pleasures are made. It is all driven by the music of Mozart at his most spirited and conceived in collaboration with his most entrusted and successful librettist, Lorenzo Da Ponte.
