Virtual and In-Person Field Trips Coming Soon!

The start of a new school year also means new!After two seasons of a pandemic-related hiatus, in-person field trip performances return, and the Hylton Center eagerly and safely welcomes students and teachers back. The Education Initiative continues to build upon recent programming, includingactivities with Artists-in-Residence, masterclasses, and virtual field trips developed over the past two years. This year we will host field trip performances withHylton PresentsԻAmerican Roots Seriesartists for local students. American Roots Seriesartist Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experiencewill also leada week of community engagement activitiesduring their residency.Virtual field trip artists Sonia De Los Santos and Kattam will introduce students to the sounds of Latin America and the rhythms of West Africa.These virtual field trips are open to public, private, and homeschool groups in Prince William County, the City of Manassas, and the City of Manassas Park.
