The median salary of a Mason bachelor鈥檚 degree recipient is approximately $43,000 one year after graduating, nearly doubling to over $80,000 ten years post-graduation. The (PSEO) dashboard, linked through the webpage, is produced by the U.S. Census Bureau. Degree recipient data is linked to the Bureau鈥檚 Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics database which provides information for over 96% of employment in the United States. Users can disaggregate by degree level and discipline to see 1-, 5- and 10-year post-graduation wage data, as well as industries in which graduates are employed. Information from the PSEO will be different from other sources for a variety of reasons:听
- The College Scorecard (U.S. Department of Education) limits reporting to students who received federal financial aid.
- The SCHEV Post-Completion Wages report is limited to graduates who work in Virginia.
- The Mason Career Plans Survey relies on self-reported data (about 5% of graduates report salary information).
