Biography
Nadeen Makhlouf joined the Honors College in Fall 2020. She received her MPP and PhD in Public Administration from American University in Washington, D.C. and has worked at various Universities in the D.C. metro area.
Her research interests focus on both the political and managerial elements that drive the relationship between international organizations and the governments they engage with, particularly as it pertains to social policies and programs.
Her work on collaboration, organizational capacity and management among nonprofit organizations in the Middle East has been published in Public Performance and Management Review and Nonprofit Management and Leadership.
Dr. Makhlouf has taught various introductory public policy and administration courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. At Mason, she has taught HNRS 110 (Principles of Research and Inquiry) as well as special topics courses on public service and public-private partnerships.
