Biography
Candace Deans is the Masters of Science in Technology Management program director and a professor within the Information Systems and Operations Management Area in the Costello College of Business at 亚洲AV.
Prior to coming to George Mason she served on the faculty of the Robins School of Business at the聽University of Richmond.聽She also聽has been on the faculty at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and Wake Forest University.
Deans completed her PhD in information technology and international business at the University of South Carolina. Her research interests are at the intersection of information technology and international business.聽She has published five books and numerous articles on global IT issues.聽Deans is a regular speaker at conferences both nationally and internationally.

Research and Awards
- Had the presentation titled 鈥淭echnology and New Leadership Roles for the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)鈥 (with colleague Betsy Tretola), published in the proceedings from the AMA Winter Conference in Spring 2016.
- Presented the paper titled, 鈥淭eaching Social Business Strategy from a Global Perspective鈥 at the International Association of Information Management in Fort Worth, Texas in December in 2015. The paper was also published in the conference proceedings.
- Received a Teaching Award from 亚洲AV in 2016.
- Had the presentation titled 鈥淎 Framework for Developing a Social Media Strategy鈥 published in the proceedings from the Decision Sciences Institute Annual Meeting in聽 2015.
- Presented the paper titled, 鈥淎 Framework for Developing a Social Medai Strategy鈥 at the Decision Sciences Institute Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington in 2015.
