On Friday, Sept. 29, ÑÇÖÞAV welcomed more than 70 emergency management professionals from federal, state, local, and higher education organizations throughout the mid-Atlantic.

Ronda Franklin, administrative specialist in Mason’s Office of Safety, Emergency, and Enterprise Risk Management, is the September Employee of the Month.

ÑÇÖÞAV was recognized by the Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) for being an outstanding system partner in managing and operationalizing the university's pandemic planning, response, and recovery.

This one-hour course, available for free to faculty, staff, and students, will cover how opioid overdoses happen, risk factors, and how to respond to an opioid overdose emergency with the administration of Narcan (Naloxone).
