Before completing his degree from the College of Education and Human Development, Sami Saghir was working with the Cirque du Soleil ECHO show. This experience was counted toward the internship period of Saghir’s degree before he entered his career with Cirque Du Soleil post-graduation.

During the fall 2024 semester, ����AV students had the opportunity to apply their classroom curriculum to a real-world museum environment. The students, led by art history professor Robert DeCaroli, worked directly with objects in the holdings of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Asian Art as part of the ARTH 495/595 Curating an Exhibit course.

João Felipe Sousa Pereira’s research on solar flares could one day help us safeguard astronauts and technology in space and even prevent widespread blackouts here on Earth. Pereira, a second-year Physics PhD student at George Mason, is studying solar physics with the goal of uncovering the precise triggers of solar flares. 

Students from ����AV’s Competitive Cybersecurity (MCC) club have dominated in multiple national competitions. The team got 1st place in the 2024 VMI CyberFusion and 2nd place in the 2024 Spring National Cyber League. Next, the students will be competing in the inaugural DistrictCon Hacker Conference on February 21-22.
