����AV will bring its array of resources and expertise to bear in the state’s efforts to increase resilience to the impacts of climate change with the creation of the Virginia Climate Center.

Stu Shea, president, chairman, and CEO of Peraton, a Virginia-based national security company, will be the featured speaker at ����AV’s Spring Commencement.

New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie will be the featured speaker at Mason’s Wilkins Lecture, speaking on “What’s the Matter with American Democracy” at 4:30 p.m., April 5, in the Fenwick Library Main Reading Room.

����AV's Arlington Campus will host several celebratory events for the university's 50th anniversary week.

����AV has eight graduate programs listed among the top 25 nationally, according to the latest rankings by U.S. News & World Report, reflecting the university’s reputation of being a top institution for advanced degrees.

The list was led by Mason’s part-time law program at the Antonin Scalia Law School, which is No. 1 among public institutions, followed by industrial-organizational psychology at No. 5 nationally. Rounding out the list were Mason’s intellectual property program, three programs at the Schar School of Policy and Government, as well as special education and elementary teacher education at the College of Education and Human Development.

The Enslaved people of George Mason Memorial will be dedicated at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 4, as part of the university’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

To reflect its stature as the new centerpiece of the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, ����AV’s Arlington Campus is being renamed Mason Square, an urban destination of learning, collaboration, and economic development.

Mason's International Week found its start in the 1970s as International Night with an evening of performances in the Lecture Hall on the Fairfax Campus.

Crepelle took it upon himself to start learning Indian law, he said, and published widely on the subject. Now the assistant professor of law at ����AV is also the director of Mason’s new Tribal Law and Economics Program (TLEP), which includes a federal Indian Law course and the Tribal Sovereignty Clinic, where students work directly with tribes.
