After graduating from the School of Business with her BS in accounting, Melissa Perera returned to complete her masters and get another leg up on her competition. Perera’s hard work was rewarded with the 2021 Graduate Division Emerging Business Leader Award.

When Brian Luther, MBA ’04, was seeking to advance his education, he knew he wanted to be on the ground level of a special place, one that was destined to grow and be as good as any of the top institutions of the region or country.

Recently graduated from George Mason School of Business, Daniel Logrono, BS ISOM ’20, didn’t wait to give back. Still fresh in his mind, Logrono’s memories as a student inspire him to serve as president of the Latino Alumni Chapter, and impact more students and alumni, encouraging them to remain Patriots for life.

Michael Hynes, BS Marketing ’03, is a supervisory special agent in the FBI, overseeing recruiting in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. With more than 100 different positions available at the Bureau, they benefit from a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Erika Spalding, BS Marketing ’07, is the vice president of corporate communications & marketing at Didlake, a nonprofit that creates and implements services and programs that assist people with disabilities find employment in today’s competitive workforce.

Raea Jean Leinster, BA Russian Area Studies ’92, launched Yuck Old Paint, LLC in 2014 in response to an unmet need she heard repeatedly from her design clients – what to do with gallons and gallons of leftover, unused and unwanted cans of paint, plaster and other toxic materials.

With decades of proven and consistent excellence in the accounting field, John Hall, BS Accounting ’93, attributes much of his professional success to his relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

ÑÇÖÞAV School of Business has become an institution defined by its ambitious and hard working student body, who balance many unique leadership roles and responsibilities. Sher Khan embodies what it means to be a School of Business Patriot.

Despite their own limited resources, Sally A. and Albert W. Kaider always made helping meet the needs of others a priority. Their legacies will now be honored as the new name of the Business for a Better World Impact Fellows 2021-2022 First Year Experience.
