Around the world, environmental crises are making headlines, from the potential extinction of species and ecosystems to climate change. Students in ÑÇÖÞAV’s Department of Environmental Science and Policy (ESP) are driven to make a change.
This year five PhD students in the department received grants from the Cosmos Club Foundation to tackle a wide range of conservation efforts.

ÑÇÖÞAV is taking the lead in a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) designed to assess the threat of rising sea levels and flooding to Maryland’s coastal communities.

The Arctic is warming at more than twice the rate of the rest of the planet, but for a team of researchers at ÑÇÖÞAV that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the changes to come.
