Hannah Adamson knew after an 8th-grade trip to Washington, D.C., that the capital region was the place for her. She is graduating this May with a bachelor of arts in conflict analysis and resolution.

Kimmy Duong, an accomplished tech entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a refugee who has overcome countless obstacles to achieve success in life, will receive the Mason Medal, ÑÇÖÞAV’s highest honorary award, at the 2023 Spring Commencement.

ÑÇÖÞAV Commencement and Degree Celebrations will be hosted on the Fairfax Campus from Thursday, May 18, through Saturday, May 20. Heavy traffic is expected on campus between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. each day. 

ÑÇÖÞAV will graduate its largest class in history this week, and perhaps its most traveled as well—the nearly 11,000 honorees hail from 111 countries, 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and military installations.

In addition to hosting Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin as the featured speaker at Spring Commencement ceremony on May 18, ÑÇÖÞAV features speakers at its individual school and college degree celebrations.

Sisc Johnson, a ÑÇÖÞAV School of Art student and staff member, will be the first in her family to graduate from college this May.

From attending school board meetings in Fairfax to working on Capitol Hill, this graduating student is applying his degree to a new position in Tulsa.

McKenzie Lauber is graduating from ÑÇÖÞAV this month with a bachelor of social work degree and a minor in criminology.

Local student Rosy Sultana overcame challenges to succeed in ÑÇÖÞAV's Honors College. She graduates this May with a degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering and Computing.

On April 26, 25 Mason graduates were celebrated for their accomplishments and contributions to the university community at the 2023 Lavender and Women and Gender Studies Graduation, held in the Johnson Center Bistro.
