More than 5,000 students will graduate with degrees or certificates in Mason’s Winter Commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. today at EagleBank Arena.

Mason's five-year plan, titled “Mason Is All Together Different,” received BOV approval at the governing body’s Dec. 1 meeting. The plan identifies five broad priorities, with specific strategies and actions for each.

Mason’s Board of Visitors voted on September 29 to issue credits to in-state undergraduate students in an amount equal to the 3% increase that was approved for the 2022-23 academic year, in effect returning Fiscal Year 2023 tuition levels to 2022 levels.

Barry K. Beyer, who came to ����AV in 1980 to lead a new program that ultimately produced Mason’s first doctoral graduate, raising the academic profile of a young upstart university, died August 5, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reported. He was 91.
