While useful technology, drones can pose a serious security risk. Systems engineering and operations research undergraduates Dyar Aziz and Markus Garretson are working to develop a methodology for inferring drone intent based on sensor data.

ÑÇÖÞAV’s first Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (ARIE) Conference on October 24 celebrated both the impact of research and the shared goal of shaping a more equitable future.

Sisters Ashley and Briana Dawson have been helping others improve their health since they were in high school. As May 2022 graduates, they share highlights from their experience in the Bachelor of Community Health program, including opportunities that allowed them to help community members around the globe overcome health obstacles through nonprofit organizations.

With encouragement of peers and professors, an undergraduate discovers a passion for research. Her passion turned into an award for her work.

Fifteen Mason students will make presentations at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, held virtually April 4-8.

Shima Mohebbi, assistant professor in the College of Engineering and Computing at ÑÇÖÞAV, together with researchers from universities across the country received a $1.6 million grant from NSF on Conservation Incentives and the Socio-Spatial Dynamics of Water Sustainability. Work during the project will include examining cooperative behavior among water users and developing water conservation incentives.

Mason's DEVA project helps folks in Virginia breathe easier as research findings target air pollution sources and can shape clean air policies in the state.
