The Mason Chooses Kindness initiative encourages Patriots to focus on kind words and compassionate actions. This initiative defines kindness as intentionally engaging in positive action that is friendly, caring, and kind-hearted, going hand-in-hand with gratitude.

The first event this semester features Jagadish Shukla, Distinguished University Professor and managing director of the Center for Ocean-Land-Atmosphere Studies, who will address “Climate Change: Science, Politics and Ethics.”

����AV Provost and Executive Vice President Mark Ginsberg has been elected to serve as chair of the Board of Directors for Parents as Teachers (PAT), an organization dedicated to promoting the optimal early development of children by supporting and engaging parents and caregivers.

With the guidance of LaNitra Berger, senior director of Mason’s Office of Fellowships, and thanks to a happenstance meeting between them, Soraya Ngarnim and Chanel Grice are fulfilling their dreams.

This semester the Office of the Provost will renew the Mason Vision Series, a monthly forum to showcase exemplary real-world research and scholarship that takes place every day at Mason.
